Ingredients

  • ¾ cup (6 ounces) Patron Silver Tequila
  • 1 bottle (750 ml/25 ounces) Stella Rosa Watermelon Wine
  • 2 cups (16 ounces) Simply Limeade
  • 1½ cups (12 ounces) liquid watermelon puree

Method

  1. Set Up the Machine: Set the motor base on a flat, solid counter. If the machine is new, let it stand upright for two hours first so the refrigerant can settle. Slide in the condensation catch, fit the auger over the evaporator, and turn it until it drops onto the pin. Slide the vessel down and push the bail handle back to lock it. Click in the drip tray and plug the machine in. If the vessel wobbles, give the auger one more turn.
  2. Pour in the Four Liquids: Open the cover and pour the tequila, watermelon wine, limeade, and watermelon puree through the easy-fill port. Pour slowly, since the wine can foam a little. Shake the puree first because it can settle. Keep ice, fruit chunks, and hot liquids out of the machine. Close the cover when finished.
  3. Pick the Spiked Slush Preset and Let It Freeze: Press the power button and choose the Spiked Slush preset. Leave the temperature at the default setting the first time. The lights pulse while the drink freezes, then turn solid with a beep when it is ready. This can take about 15 to 60 minutes. A full 59-ounce batch may take closer to the longer end of the range. The finished slush should look thick and icy while still moving when the glass is tilted.
  4. Pour and Serve Grinch Punch Slush: Set a glass on the drip tray under the handle. Pull the handle slowly to pour, then release it to stop. Keep the preset running until the last glass is poured so the machine can maintain the slush texture. Turning it off early can leave the mixture too soft.
